market information

A VFMA accredited member market is well respected by stallholders, the wider industry media, the general public as well as several government departments as setting the standard of a genuine farmers' market. With the support of the VFMA, customers can shop confidently at such markets, knowing that they are buying directly from genuine growers and producers.

Accredited member farmers' markets receive the benefit of the VFMA's extensive media promotions, including weekly contributions to columns in Sunday Herald Sun, The Age A2 and The Age Epicure, producer segments on ABC Radio 774 on Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings.

Membership fees are usually covered by a small addition to stall fees each market day at a rate of $5 for metropolitan markets, $4 for interface markets and $3 for regional markets. These fees are then invoiced by the VFMA.
